Chantilly is famous for its chateau and horseracing, but the town also contains many other treasures: lace, porcelain, works of art, etc. The Domain of Chantilly consists of the Chateau, the Great Stables and the Racecourse, surrounded by more than 6000 hectares of forest. Chantilly porcelain is still a living activity in Chantilly, part of Chantilly’s tradition. There has been a revival of the craft over several years; this is due in particular to the opening of a new shop and workshop, which only sells hand-painted articles and where you can see the painters working on the porcelain.
