Chantilly’s tourist itinerary
In December Chantilly inaugurated its first tourist itinerary, which will allow everyone to discover the riches of the capital of the horse and the marvels of this “princely town”.

Chantilly's lace
Chantilly’s lace
is famous throughout the world. This silk bobbin lace is usually black, rarely white. The town has created a town heritage and lace museum, which contains some very beautiful collector’s pieces: the Musée du Patrimoine de Chantilly.

Chantilly porcelain is still a living activity in Chantilly, part of Chantilly’s tradition. There has been a revival of the craft over several years; this is due in particular to the opening of a new shop and workshop, which only sells hand-painted articles and where you can see the painters working on the porcelain.

The real Chantilly cream
This is certainly why Chantilly is known throughout the world, as people worldwide enjoy this delicious composition whose origins are such a mystery. According to legend, Chantilly cream was born out of a kitchen accident. One meal, there was not going to be enough fresh cream. Then one of the kitchen staff had the idea of whipping it to increase its volume so that it would serve all the guests.
